Pounding plates on all day long.
I’m inspecting trusses to see what’s wrong.
A gap or plate missing on the truss,
Now I’m mad and start to fuss.
I take my hammer and start to tap.
Just trying to close this dog gone gap.
When there’s too many gaps, I start to gripe,
Now keep those trusses nice and tight.
I put them in a neat little stack.
When break comes, I grab me a snack.
Some of this work is nasty and dirty,
But I’m only here till 3:30.
Oops, I forgot to put those seat plates on,
