 CHAMBERS  TRUSS  ANSWER

How long can trusses be without an internal load bearing wall?

72' Truss

A truss is like a bridge. It can span any distance that is practical to build a truss to cover. I have never heard of a wood truss over 100 feet long.

Any span 100' or under can be covered by a truss without  support of internal load bearing walls.

Not only can trusses span great distances they can do it using less material and labor than on site construction. This allows great freedom to building designers. This also means that building design and use can be modified at any time. Internal load bearing walls cannot be removed creating obstacles to building design and use. It's like comparing an old stadium with support columns that block the view with a modern stadium where all the seats are good.
