trusses use less lumber than conventional framing, conserving lumber. Wood
trusses are both economical & environmental.

Trusses are usually made of 2x4s and are 24" on center. Conventional
framing usually is 2x10s 16" on center.

built identical two homes. The truss framed home used 7,353 board feet of
lumber. The conventionally framed home used 11,543 board feet of lumber
